LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, Good morning to all. This is the formal notification that you have another champion on the board. I am the newly crowned NPC Colorado State Champion Masters Division winner 35-40 Division, Novice Light Heavyweight Division Winner and I finished 5th in the Open Light Heavy Weight Division. IT WAS FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!! To say the least. To everyone that gave me words of encouragement when I needed them most. THANK YOU!!!! You guys really came together and helped me so much. I sincerely appreciate it. TIM, WE DID IT BROTHER. I came in perfect. I spoke to all the judges at the end of the show and not one had a negative remark. All was very encouraging. Many stated that I am so close to being a national competitor that it was not even funny. They all stated that I should keep doing whatever I am doing and I will be right where I want to be soon. So back to the gym next monday with a vengence. This was truly a wonderful experience that I almost can't explain. The field of competitors was one of the largest in Colorado history. I had 11 in my novice light heavy weight class and 18 in my open light heavy weight class. I AM FREAKIN STOKED. I feel a little lost right now. I am so used to getting up and cooking all my meals and having a set schedule, but now I just need to figure what I am going to do in the off season and get with it. I have 10 months before my next show. Time to get huge. I love you guys and this one is for all of you. We did it!!! Also, Photo's will be available at the end of the week at www.jefftaylor.com. He is the chairman for the NPC in Colorado. It will all be posted there. Enjoy.

I've come to know Massiv these last several weeks, and I can't even find the words to express how proud I am of him.
He picked himself up from the loss of his Dad and did all the hard work in his memory. And I know Dad is proud as well.
Congrats, brother. You earned it. And next time will be even better!!

I am still floating this morning, but I think I have put on about 5 pounds of fat in the past 3 days. I sat down last night and figured my off season diet out and put it to paper. I am forcing myself to take the week off from training. It is like I am addicted. I am ready to get in there again, but I know I need this week to recover from the torture I put myself through. I am just so happy right now. Thank you for all of your great replies. They really mean the world to me.

John,I read this thread the other night but couldn`t reply to it due to my computer problems, but I just wanted to add to the others comments that I am thrilled for you!!
Considering how tough contest prep is, and continuing to put yourself through the torture of it while going through the tragic loss of your father, just shows the kind of tenacity and perseverance you have!
Congrats on a fantastic job buddy!! #arockon6ha#

Tim,
I followed everything to the tee and it came out nice. I was hard, dry and freakin shredded. Carb up did wonders. I am already set to go for the off season and all the way into next year. My next contest is June 1st & 2nd of 2007. I will have to get with you on that. I will have that one and about 1 month later I will have the state again. I am trying to figure how I can come in good at the first one and great at the second.
It was the time of my life. The local news papers did a big write up with pictures and interviews. My wife has converted and she might even throw her hat into the ring as a figure contestant next year. The contest did wonders for her support. She saw that I was not just screwing off the last few years. She saw that all that work ends up on a stage for a very short while. And sometimes you get to be a star. She was actually proud of me. It really showed when she had to help pack trophies out among the crowd. Everyone was pointing and shaking my hand and patting me on the back and telling her good things. It was pretty damn cool.
