Hi Saph. Ok here it comes! First...you look great. Leaned out a lot. Nice suit. Do you have a 2 peice also? Now... posing: Front Pose: Arms flare out more. Lat spread is a mandatory now. Don't hide your hands behind your legs. Keep head straight, not canted to side. Are you wearing your heels in these pics? Can't see your feet. Side Pose: Don't look to camera. Head should face the same position of your body on side pose. Relax your hands more on all poses. Need to see the back poses too! LOTS of potential there Saph. Once you review the DVD a few million times , practice, practice, practice! This needs to be so natural, that you could hit it without even thinking about it. Tale a look at some pics of Davana Medina, Jen Hendersott, Kim Klein, Adela Garcia (Ex-Freidmansky). All these girls pose very naturally. Hope this helps! Keep it up girl!

Good advice, Frank. Not an expert on figure by any means, but the modified "lat spreads" from front and back are important poses. Chest and lats have to be high and flared.
Do you have either/or DVDs by Amy Peters and Jenny Lynn? From what I have seen, they are nuts and bolts instructionals for figure competition.
Sapph, you look stunning and have wonderful shape and flowing lines. Just keep practicing the movements and you should do great.

I agree with some of what Frank said. One thing I wanna make sure you are doing is WALK IN THOSE HEELS EVERY TIME YOU PRACTICE YOUR POSING. I have read about women who did not practice in the heels and wiped out on stage..not a good thing...so PRACTICE. To expand on Frank and Gerry's comments about the lats...yes, hold and flare the lats and chest out...and hold high...practice so much that it feels natural and you do not need to think about it when you are on stage. Great choice for a suit! Does this show require just the one piece or do you need a one and two piece? If you do need a two piece practice in that one too. From a physique stand point, you are still leaning out. You still have, what, 6 weeks to go? Alot can happen during that time. I assume your cardio is increased and you are doing more than you were. You have little line in your chest, you did not have that before, your arms are continuing to lean out as well. From the front I can see a more defined line in your quads. I think you are doing great!!! You are coming to the home stretch just hang in there and let everything come in these last 6 weeks!!!!! #smileycheeleader9un#

I just got this one (I borrowed both of them from a friend) The two piece is too small on top, I waiting for the boobage loss to fit into it. Yup I am doing more cardio. Trying to anyway. Actually I have 8 weeks to go, the more time the better I say.

I know a posing coach just out of the city-do you want me to see if he can help you? Not sure what he will charge tho. Karrie has my email addy if you do decide you want help! Your side poses are great but you do need to focus more on pulling your lats out. try squeezing your shoulder blades together then pulling them straight out to the side, your shoulders will naturally lift up and flare out when you do this. With your legs-if you feel your legs are bigger than your upper body, keep your feet together-else if you don't have a very big outer quad sweep, keep your heels together and turn out your feet(like a ballet dancer). I would suggest you go onto bb.com and have a look at the compulsory rounds from the Jan Tana show last weekend or even the Colorado pro-this will give you an idea on how the top girls pose. Do you have to do a stage walk?

Saph! Looks better! Gives you a little more shoulder width I think. Look at your right hand. See how tense it looks? Relax You'll also have to learn to flare your lats from the front, and that just takes time and preactice until it feels right. I still give you big points for cuteness and attitude! Keep practicing, and check out those videos and pics! Frank

I think I had better be a ballerina... I will do that with my feet. I have alot of problems flexing my lats with my arms down. I will try to do what you said. I am so nervous, I think I look bad.

Hehehe Thanks again. Cyndi aka Sapph

Sapph - you look great! LOVE your suit, it will look awesome on stage. Try bending your elbows just a tiny bit, that will bring your fingers away from your body just a bit more and relax your fingers. You just need to practice, practice, practice. I was practicing at work every time I went into the ladies room. Don't worry! If you practice every chance you get, you'll soon be doing quarter turns in your sleep If at all possible, even if it's just once, see a posing coach, they see you as the judges see you. Which organization is your competition? Go to their website and look at the photo galleries to give you an idea of what they expect.

Thanks gang... Well I practiced again and I did a slightly different side pose, one with hand on hip. I feel MUCH better doing that!! I also THOUGHT I should look straight out on the side pose??? Is that wrong??? I see my back fat in the two piece side pose, so I made it my desktop to remind me what a fatso I am. Hehehehe. What do you all think of the hand on the hip and the two piece??

Cyndi, Go to Mike Davies Site below. He has a Posing DVD that is the state of the art. His girls ARE the top girls on stage at the Olympia and Arnold Classic. I think the DVD is $ 29.95, but his stuff is worth the price. Also just check around his site. A lot of the girls have their contest pics on there, and you can get some great pointers. By the way...looking better already...should be looking the same way your body is facing, NOT at the camera! www.mikedaviesfitness.com/store.htm

I think it would be really good if you could actually have a session with a posing coach-its a bit difficult to teach anyone how to pose simply from pictures. I know the names of a few in the NY area so if you do decide you want to go that route let me know! The suit looks awesome on you sweetie #woohoo8ad#
