Do aerobics really help in aiding fat loss? How many calories do you burn with an intense 30 minute session? For example - a man has a daily metabolism that burns about 2500 calories a day. That equates to roughly 100 calories per hour. This man performs 1/2 hour of intense aerobics and the lifecycle/treadmill says that he burn 300 calories for that 1/2 hour. You'd subtract the 100 you'd burn if you did nothing, so your burned 200 calories. This done three to four times per week results in a calorie burn of 600-800 calories. Is it work it? Am I wrong?

In my opinion cardio is a must, for me anyway. It`s true it burns calories during the actual cardio session ,but more inmportantly it elevartes the heart rate and helps to speed up the metabolism. The big thing about doing cardio that is often overlooked is that the body will continue burning fat hours after the session is done. Greg ,if you haven`t been doing cardio ,then there is your answer to getting your bodyfat% down to below 10% .
