What is a typical rest period between sets consist of for you? I usually don`t waste too much time between sets, but would rather keep the bodypart I`m training under attack.Lately due to heavier training ,I will rest as long as I need to in order to train as heavy as I can.Thisd is anywhere from 1-4 minutes or so.During contest training ,I move quickly ,resting for a minute or less, as a rule.

Same here Tim, I like to move quickly. The heavier compound movements take longer, like front squats, bent over rows etc. needless to say and I do take as long as necessary but certainly not over 4-5 minutes. At one time I carried wore a stopwatch to make sure I was taking only a minute. It was an eye opening experience, in reality a minute is not that long and with the clock ticking is seemed more like 20 seconds! But by doing that I did train myself to move quicker!

I'm always changing my rest intervals. I always train heavy but do cycles with rest time. So one month i'll train heavy and rest like 2.5 - 4 minutes between sets. The next month i'll train heavy but rest only 1.5 minutes or less. Which is what i'm doing now.

60 to 90 secs. If I wait too long, it seems to me the last rep. ,that I look to feel, isn't as strong.

Until I feel my strength is back, pretty much as long as I feel comfortable with, now that I'm at a gym where I'm usually the only one working out I don't get distracted and rest on average about 90 seconds
