I started throwing these into my shoulder/back routine and have had great results from them. Does anyone else practice this movement (advice for sets or reps please) I'd like some feedback on this since I never see anybody do them. Thanks

Its one of my favourite lifts. I do alot of Olympic Lifting and thats one of the main lifts so i practice it alot. Its a great basic compound exercise. If you do enough reps its also a great cardiovascular lift too. Try doing 10 reps+ on this lift and you'll be on the deck panting for your life.
Stick with low reps for mass, Power and strength. If thats your goal. Stick with 3 - 5 rep sets and aim for as many sets as you feel up to doing. Do atleast a minmium of 3 sets.
TJ can give you probably a better response as he has more experience. But thats what i do. Throw in some snatch's and your good 2 go! ;D

Yes, the clean and press is an excellent strength and mass builder. I tend to keep my reps between 6-8 with 4-5 sets.
You dont see anyone doing them because it is a hard movement to learn and most people in the gym dont like to do core strength moves like that. Im a bodybuilder and i do them but besides that the only one's at my gym that do are Football players and a couple of guys who do strongman stuff.

Actually, I haven`t done them in eons.I used to do a lot of "dead hang" cleans though. What a trap and lower back workout.I still do heavy presses, but off a power rack.I`m gonna put both cleans, and cleans & presses, in my routine over the winter as I`m training for size and power now.
