Just wondering if it is normal to actually feel a separation between the upper pecs and major pecs?

You might be able to feel one. But it is not really a seperation between the two. The pectoralis major(the large fan shaped muscle) actually sits on top of the pec minor. The minor is totally covered by the major.

I meant the clavicular pectoral major and the pectoral major sternal. I felt a separtion between these two muscle when i dig my put my hand on my chest as i flex.
