I think jumping rope is a good form of cardio, but I don't think I could do 20 min. After about 10 min. I start to miss my jumps alot, but if you can do it for 20min. then go for it.

Try skipping rope for 3 minute rounds with 30 seconds rest. Start with 3 or 4 rounds then work your way up to wherever you like until you get bored. We usually skip rope for 6 rounds for a good warmup.
Slip in a little variety to the way you do it. Hop on one leg briefly then switch to the other. Jump higher, skip faster and especially go rapid fire for the last 10-15 secs of each round.
Gets your heart pumping and feel it working your shoulders+calves. Just don't start singing like the girls do ;D

It's a great form of doing your cardio, as it gets both your upper and lower body involved at the same time, as opposed to a tread mill or stationary bike, where your legs are doing all the work. And you are right, excluding the heavy weights, boxers are in great shape, and rope jumping forms a large part of their training regime. Vin.
