Some people say to do allow the arm to straigten to feel the stretch when doing 45degreee preacher curls, but others say just stop short of straightening so that you can do more weight, and also help protect your joints and tendons.
What do you guys suggest?
Of course I also do 90degree preacher curls and I straighten my arm there , but in 45 degree there is that tension on the arm when at the bottom..

I always have people go all the way down on the 45 degree preacher curls, becauses I feel that a full r.o.m. is much more important than the weight used in order to stimulate muscle and strength gains. I always tell people to do the exercise right, and "the weight will follow." Meaning that if you do the exercise the way it is supposed to be done, you should get stronger and bigger with time. I also think that the "give them an inch and the'll take a mile" rule that gets used a lot here too. If you tell someone that they don't have to go all the way down, each time they do the exercise the'll use more and more weight each time, and the r.o.m. will get shorter and shorter!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just watch your average lifter do bench press and you'll see what I mean. People start adding more and more weight, and it looks like they are doing quarter reps by the time they have done their last set, lol. The only exercise I don't insist on using a full r.o.m. is behind the neck presses. Going all the way down not only jacks up the shoulder joints, but also overly involves the tri's at the bottom. Vin.

Go all the way down- you WANT that stress on the lower bicep- its the whole point of doing that exercise.
