Because of years of debauchery <hell, decades really> I take a lot of vitamins/suppliments. I can pretty much quote what they are good for, but am wondering if there are vitamins and/or doses that are actually bad or counterproductive to body building . Any one got any ideas ?

Jim, I can definately relate to the years of debauchery! ;D I`m far from a choir boy, although I ain`t bragging.
Vitamins are essential to the body.We need them everyday to function properly, and to keep us strong and healthy.
Water soluble vitamins, if taken in excess, are excreted in the urine.
Fat soluble vitamins on the other hand, if taken in excessively large doses, can be toxic to the body as they are stored in fat cells.
This is the only thing I know about when vitamins can actually be harmful to us.

Maybe I am just being simplistic but it seems if small amounts of some suppliments will aide in muscle growth maybe there are some that will work against muscle growth. Suppliments seem to do many things for many different people, who would have thought creatine would be a brain helper? or that arginine would help men's "interest" ? Maybe there are suppliments that we are taking for one thing that actually is preventing as positive a muscle growth as possible. I don' know, just interesting to think about.
