Ive always worked for myself, but I start a new warehouse job next week, I am a Endomorph so I am worried about just eating a protein bar for one of my meals since alot of them are full of sugars and carbs.Any suggestions? I find that I need to eat every three hours. So I can eat before work but Im not sure if they would give you a break so you could eat, besides lunch. How do you guys do it? Any suggestions on what to eat and how?Any good protein bars out there or are they all mainly just junk?

Hi and welcome to the forum beatngu! Ok, so we are looking for ultra lean sources of protein... huuum... What about having a shake? Ultra low fat chesse (I eat 40g of protein from a 4% fat chesse every day) is also a very lean option! Chicken breast pita (Approx 40g of protein and 30g of complex carbs) Mo

I use to eat in the bathroom stalls years ago...........sounds bad but I didn`t care as long as I got my meals in.
Nowadays,I would just tell my boss I`m taking a few minutes to eat regardless of what he said.

I've eaten in bathroom stalls, literally run into the break room and inhale something as fast as possible, sat down with my cooler every 2 hours for a relaxed meal....I've probably gotten close to doing it all. However, these days, most of the time I'm inside a grocery store. So I'm easily able to grab something without any trouble. I'll usually eat cottage cheese, or beef jerky (not the best, but when looking for something different it will be a decent substitution), or I go to the deli and get roast beek and some swiss cheese without the bread. Just pack a cooler with one of those ice packs, and you will be able to fit at least 3 meals in there (obviously dependent on the size of the cooler you have) and that will get you through 6 hours of work, and you can go off premises for luck possibly. Or bring a shake for the one time a day that you won't be able to sit down and eat, so there's 4 meals right there. Good luck, let us know how it works out. And welcome to the forum!!!

Welcome to the forum, I'm sure you'll love it here. Several people have already mentioned taking a shake, but I'd like to add a different way to take a shake if you think that bringing a cooler to work could be a problem. Just fill any "shaker" or cleaned out plastic bottle (empty coke bottle for example) with your protein powder and take that to work. When you are feeling hungry, fill the bottle with water from the drinking fountain and chug the shake down. If you are really pressured for time you can drink it in a minute tops, and I don't think anyone would give you a hard time for stopping a minute to drink. Good luck, Vin.

thanks for the replies, they all sound good, I guess I'll just have to wait and see how the mood is at the job to see what I'll have to do to eat.

I use the idea of drinking my meals at work. If everyone around me can drink there coffee, I can take 1 minute to drink my proteins.

If you are having a hard time eating at work... just drink. But, just make sure that when you are not at work you make an effort to have some solid meals instead of shakes.

Just bring protein powder with you in a shaker so that you can just add water in case of emergancy. Add some almonds and there ya go

I have also probably done alot of the things Tim and Youngblood did. Eating in bathroom stalls is one of them. By now that I'm at a University there are alot of open spaces and outside areas where I'll just open up my lunch and eat. Rarely care what others think. Some of the times people say my food looks good. But if they notice I eat alot of the same things everyday that gets really annoying to me as they start asking me about it. So I prefer eating alone in a secluded area. I have a cooler that I pack 3 rice meals with me, each with 100g of carbs in brown rice, veggies, and 1 with chicken , 1 with salmon, 1 with buffalo or lean chopped steak. Breakfast I have a blended up protein smoothie. Then for dinner (at home) eggs/oats. Before bed a cup of cottage cheese. Of course this only happens if all the scheduling for that day is on course. But at least I always carry the 3 meals with me.
