I was researching on what uses of Glutamine was, with many various sources.
It seems most of them say it benefits Cancer patients, or people who are put in stressed situations because their glutamine level (protein level) is low and replenishing it with supplementation would put them back in proper balance. It also has some uses in immunity functions as overtraining can make immunity against allergies and sickness go down.
Besides that I dont' understand what's the uses of it? Bodybuilders eat protein in every meal , and replenish the amino acids in the body.
I know there are alot of studies that back up glutamine being useful and glutamine being no use at all. I want to know for those who feel there are possible uses (hence me) why would I need it if I already eat alot of protein and the proteins that I eat already have glutamine in it

Some people feel it alleviates DOMS better than simply just eating protein PWO but having tried both glutamine and BCAA's(Xtend) I definitely rate the Xtend more. As you say there is enough protein in most of our diets but the Xtend seems to aid recovery between sets as well as DOMS
