the diet is going well although i think my obsession of coming in at my all time best i am keeping my carbs too low for too many days this week they have looked like this.. Sun: zero Mon: 30g Tue: 40g Wed: 80g Thur: 60g Fri: 10g
so as you can see any body no matter their experiance can get flustered.. i have no energy what so ever which is effecting both my weights workout and my job allthough i am doing 45min cardio 6days a week so i must start to up my carbs a little at least for a few days in the week.....
hope you all have a good weekend....

You're going below what you should . You're an adult...i am a kid. And i'm having more carbs than you're.....and that means you should be having more carbs than i am!!
Even Tim never go below 50g as a rule unless he reaches plateau...where he'll go 0g and then on the high days...extra high!! You should aim your lowest day to be 50g or even more so. And on the high days...go up to 120-180g of carb.
I'm a light weighted body ...and my lowest carb is 83g. Highest being about 126g or so. I weight about 90lb.
Basically use Starches as a form of CARB UP..as they are concentrated source in small amount. Use Veggies for the low day for the nutrition.....and that means you got to eat a BIG SALAD like me. 12oz of veggies or so per meal!!

cheers mate but it aint all as plain as black and white....as many will tell you..
the mind plays tricks on you when you see progress on any diet you try to improve it one way or another...
i know of alot of Top British amataurs that zero carb 6days a week and get shredded.....
I am sure it took Tim plenty of time to decide on the best plan for himself and it is by starting with that plan that i have to make one that fits my body type....
believe me it makes no diffrence that you are a "Kid" and i am an adult...
i have a very good friend who trains in my gym called Stuart Core(Junior Universe, Britian) he is 24yrs old and when he won these title he was 19/20 yrs old just a kid some would say.....but definatly eat like a Pro.....
i do not mean this post to be of an insult mate i just need to point out that everyone is diffrent...... ;D

Max6 i was'nt trying to flame you mate i do agree i didnt have the energy to put 100% into my training on such low carbs.
but that was just it when you diet for a show your mind plays tricks and you think "well if i used 50g yesterday and was ok i can use 30g today" it was that sort of mentallety mate i just let it get the better of me and i have been competing for over 10yrs now......
Tim i will see Stu on monday at the gym i will pass on your best..he is going to be guesting at my show. he is also getting ready for the EPF british in October and maybe a British qualifier he has just started to diet the day he started to diet he was 280lbs at 24yrs old the bast*rd...... but he is the most intense BB in the gym i have ever seen.....

just an update on my diet...
my diet has now shifted gears i have pretty much stopped the carb cycling and gone for 3-5 days of carb depletion then 1 day of controlled carb reload i have devised this plan with the huge help of a fellow bb in the UK who kicked my ass at my last show..
the concept is very much like the refeed and Leptin thread that is on this board.
the theory is that you use High protein/Low Carbs >20g and Low Fat >30g for 4-5 days with this your body will go into starvation mode and all fat burning will slow down if not stop by the 5th day. you then dramaticly increase both simple and complex carbs for 1 day but keep your Fats very low and lower your protein aswell. this knocks your body out of starvation mode and really kicks you metabolism into high gear.....
i am trailing it tomorrow so i can see how i look on sat if i look dry and ripped on sat i will use this approach for the show. the normal way to carb load/deplete does not really work for me.....
i will keep you all updated

Pscarb..i was wondering when you go so low in carbs...does your ratio of fat/carb be like 30/20?
Or do both FAT/CARB stay pretty even..and you just up your protein to make up for the calories?

when you carb feed...do you taper off your carbs as well?? I mean lower it as the day goes by..or do you just keep carbs in every meal even ...even late at night...just so you are fueled up!! hehe.?

i generally keep them in all day the purpose is actually to spill over a little this is what will kick your body back into Fat burning mode after a long diet....
I refed last thursday so today(Tuesday)is my 5th day woke up jumped on the scales and i am 186/187lbs very tight much tighter than the recent pics Tim put up. so it looks good for me to take this approach next week on show week. the good thing is that on my last refeed i also used things like Chocolate and Ice Cream but today it will be just low fat simple and complex carbs. i will drop my protein down a little as well.....

That reminds me...Thanks Giving is just around the corner...that will be a great REFEED day..down all the Sweet potatoes you can hehehe..save the leftovers for later.. ;D
