I agree with ski, to me the mind games are the worst.
I don't mind doing cardio or depriving myself of food IF it's going to get me where I want to be. I am constantly looking in the mirror to see changes, I don't see much but other people tell me that I am changing. I am constantly questioning my strategies.

THE FREAKIN MIND GAMES! AHHHH WOW I HATE THOSE SUCKERS! Days you think oh FLIP I'm so flat I'm so small, and then the glorious days when you are FREAKIN ON! and it's like awww yeah! I'm getting somewhere! But man those down days are KILLER! Other than that I don't hate any of it, I love the whole experience...although this is my FIRST time lol...

Since I'm preparing for my first competition, I find the following absolutely suck!!
1. Cardio (and finding the time to do it) 2. Low carbs 3. Boring diet
....but, I wouldn't have it anyother way!! #bflexsmiley1vs#

For ME, it's the following: 1) Cardio, cardio, cardio!!!!! Weights, I LOVE.. Diet, I can tolerate, cardio just plain SUCKS! I'm now doing HIIT Cardio 2x per day and it's a BIT better b/c it's shorter in duration & more challenging so it goes a bit faster, but being so low on carbs & energy, it's freaking ROUGH! After this, I'm staying as lean as I can so I can use Mo's methods of little to no cardio to get lean.. Yeah, I know, wishful thinking, huh? LOL 2) Second guessing myself. There are WAY too many methods of contest prep and they all seem to work to some degree. It's difficult for me to just stick with one and have complete faith that I'm doing the best thing for MY body. I guess with time I'll learn my body better, but I'm betting just as soon as I do, something else will change. Anyway, I guess that's what makes bodybuilding such a unique sport. We certainly learn a LOT about ourselves, don't we? 3)Finally, posing.. Not the routine itself.. I quite enjoy that, but holding the quarter turns and the mandatories.. It gets boring and it's freaking HARD!!! Also, finding time to do it on top of everything else is REALLY hard.. Oh well, it all needs to be done, so we just have to push onward to the finish.. Then, it's over WAY too quickly... Until NEXT time..

for me the hardest part is sayin no to all those foods like white rice, ICE CREAM, etc. That also leads into mind games of gotta say no to eating and stuff. Cardio is ok with me. Still toughtest is sayin no to those great tastin food that is soo bad for you
