Ladies and Gentlemen, I know I was away for a LONG time and I"ve been hit and miss here but I quit my job at the gym to coach and focus on my diet and trainnig. I have selected to compete in 2 shows before I take a year off form teh stage (if I can stay away!) I will be competing on July 16 in Michigan and July 30 in Columbus, Ohio. The 16th is a "natural" NPC show and the 30th is a Muscle Mania show! I am so excited as I am going to ask our fellow board member BODYFX to do my diet and be my coach (OH PLEASE SAY YES! hahaha)
Just to let you know my training has been great even though I have been battling through 3 sinus infections and bronchitis since Christmas (happens to all 1st/2nd/3rd year teachers - especially elementary). I am currently about 185 and even though I've put on a little more fat than planned, I am still tighter than when I started my diet for my first show! I have made DEFINITE improvements in my lat width, leg size and hardness (YEAH!) and calf size (double YEAH!). Also, I noticed my chest has gotten thicker! I'm not sure what this will translate into, but I'm hoping a bigger, tighter, MUCH harder HOSS! I am 15 and 17 weeks out from TODAY and I am starting my diet tomorrow! I will be tapering down until I ask for the assistance of BODYFX! I am very excited at the thought of working w/ BODYFX! I'm hoping to bring home my first Win in a men's open category (AT LEAST TOP 3!) My diet is going to start at about 3300 calories/day. I am going to use carbohydrates on training days and limit them on non-training days. I am incorporating 20 minutes of cardio 3 days per week starting out! I'm hoping by doing this I can actually increase the cardio and then as contest approaches decrease to save more muscle!
