I always heve enterd shows that are by weight class. I just entered an NANBF show which will be on June 25th and it is by height. Just a little bit about me: when I look my best I normally weigh around 135lbs. (bantam wt.) at 5'5" and I do not want to look dwarfed by another 5'5" that is 200lbs. This Federation claims that competitors are to be drug free for 7 years? They can do all the polygraph and urin test all they want but how can it be kept fair? Well I am going to give it a shot and see what happens.
Any one els compete in height class events, and what was your take on it? Thanks.

its the best they can do and it's better than nothing. You won't see anyone 5'5 weighing 200 lbs and an NANBF show. You'd only find that at a few NPC shows. Don't be so negative carl... give it a swing.

I didn't try to sound negative. I did enter the show already. I just wanted to get a feel of what other people encounterd from doing a height class show. Thanks for the reply Layne.

Now I'll give you the point about the 200 lbs, They were 180 lbs. Close enough in my book when I came in at 135. The conditioning was impressive with all the athletes. I will never do another height class show again tho.

Drug tested or not, I've always felt the best way to go was with weight classes.

Have a friend who promotes a couple shows for NABBA which is by height. I agree, weight seems the better class option.
