The competition here was terrific. Congrats to overall Teen winner, James Seymour, and the other competitors. I was working with a young man named AJ Sims, who at 17 was (I think) 7th in a tough light heavy class. Know he will be even better next year. He has a determination and maturity beyond his years. And Alberto Rubinaccio, who was tutored by Carla Salotti, was 3rd in lhw, also has a huge future.
And Mike Rice was a no brainer here for Collegiates. He was the oldest of the competitrors (33) but blew everyone away. Besides BB, he is completing his doctorate in chiropractic medicine. He is competing this weekend in USA. I spoke with him at the show and he is one of the most intelligent and nicest people I've met. He will continue to be a winner on and off stage.
