Thanks guys! I really appreciate how everyone rally's around each other when they get ready to compete! It really makes a difference!
Mo, I'm carb depleting until thursday evening and then I'll start to carb load with my evening meal and continue to carb load up to the show. Also on Thursday I will cut sodium and start to potassium load, 99mg. every hr. I will also drink two gallons of distilled water on thursday and one gallon on Friday. Saturday I will just drink as needed. I've kept my sodium intake normal thoughout the contest prep so I'm not super sensitive to it and I also believe that makes it more effective when I deplete.
Its tough to cut sodium out completly unless you don't eat any protein at all. All the chicken that we have available has had sodium injected into it so I usually just eat lean beef the last two days before a show its lower in sodium. Any suggestions?
Beckie, I feel pretty good right after I eat something for about 45min. then my energy gets pretty low until I eat again. My strength has stayed with me pretty well though, that always suprises me because I don't feel like it will be there when I begin my workout!
Again thanks everyone for being so supportive and I will try my best to bring home a Victory!
