OK everybody................
2007 is right around the corner..I decided NOT to take the year off, but to use this year to tweak my contest prep strategies.
I thought the best way to do this is to do a few small shows, where I can experiment and not feel too bad about my placings if what I experimented with goes totally south!
I live right outside of Cleveland Ohio, and don't mind an hour or two driving time to a contest. I cannot do natural shows due to be on test therapy from my physician.
What open shows do you suggest for 2007? Again, small shows.....don't want to get too depressed!
2008 will be the year to hit the BIG shows and go 150%!!! Stategy is that I'll turn 50 and the end of this year (2007), so 2008 will put me on the "young" side of the 50 and over masters! That is where "Da Beast" will be born! ;D

Good idea, i dont believe 18 months or more on an off season diet is really more productive than a 6 to 9 months period! And who knows… even if you dont put any pressure on yourself, maybe "tha beast" will show up in 2007 rather than 2008 ;D nothing to lose, everything to win! And as far as shows suggestions go, i think Canadian's shows would be a bit too far for someone from Cleveland Mo

I do know there is a contest in Canton that is non-drug tested, the Mr. Canton. The only other ones I know of in the Cleveland area are one year drug tested. There is the Mr. Ohio which in is August but that is in Columbus. I agree contact Hoss and/or Sal Paradise they may know of other federations that have shows in the area.

I was thinking of the Big Dust Classic. I think this is only the 2nd or 3rd year they're doing this one, so it's still relatively small.
