Just wanted to run my h20/ salt stuff by everybody to see what you think... I am drinking 3gal water with crystal light per day... WIll do that through wed Also adding 2 salt packets to each meal.. On thurs will drop water to 2gal and 1 salt pack per meal.. Fri 1/2 gall by noon and 1/2 salt packet per meal.. No h20 from noon fri through show... This is a little different than what I did last time, but hoping to have a little better diureses with the more rapid water decrease... Any suggestions... definately open to advice....

I wouldn't go more then 12 to 14 hours without water. It takes the body about 12 hours (some people a little longer) to realize there is a deficit. You will then start holding water due to increased Aldosterone production. I also wouldn't even limit it and just cut it out the night before the contest.
Sodium loading is also something that should be started weeks out from the show. Doesn't work quite the same way by just doing it the last week. May backfire on you. I know when I start to load sodium, I gain almost 5 pounds of water when I increase it. Takes 3 or 4 days for me to normalize. Cuting sodium more then 1.5 days or 2 days before the contest is also not a good idea. Doesn't take the body long to realize there is a sodium deficit and then it will start dumping potassium to keep the two in balance. Results are flat muscles.

This has happened to me in the past, cutting sodium too soon. I plan on cutting out on Fri. this time out and start my carb load on Wed. evening instead of Thursday evening.
Like Randy said, everyone is different. I've sodium loaded in the past with good results but it can backfire on you.
