Ok, can't hide forever. I started hitting the weights 20 years ago when I was 33? Man that seems like yesterday and forever ago. At any rate, I joined a local gym with another guy I know and stayed with it for a little over a year. My buddy bailed after a couple weeks. He always thought he was top dog and when I was progressing faster he couldn't handle it. Upside is, I met a young fellow there ( Greg Ekart) who was training for the Teenage America contest. We hit it off and started training together. He pushed me when I didn't think I could and it paid off. At the end of that year or so I had gained 40lbs of LBM. My membership expired, Greg went on to compete and college so we lost touch. Shortly after that my living arrangements (divorce) changed big time and I stored my weights, benches etc away. I have pulled them out for a couple months at a time in the past, but never was really into it. Luckily I still weighed within 5 lbs of what I did when I quit, just no where near in the same places. Last October I decided it was time. I was back on a regular routine and reading everything I could online. Then I stumbled into "Weights on the web" and felt right at home. I am far from where I want to be, but my heart is in it now. Special thanks to Tim for his advice and encouragement.

I'm glad you are here, and thanks for the support you've already shown in just a short time.

Great story Mike! I think I first saw you over at ironmagazine.com`s board if I`m not mistaken. You`ve been here a long time now, and I thank you for hanging in with me, when the board was even slower than it is now. ;D Keep pumping Mike, because you`re back and better than ever, and I don`t see those weights going back into storage anytime too soon. how`s the arms today?

Tim, lets just say I "WAS" going to do chest today, LOL... I swear I think they are still pumped. Thanks again.
Oh, and yes you did. A little too much flaming and BS for me there. I'm too conservative I guess.

Mike, You`re smart as far as the flaming goes.I like a debate at times but when it get`s personal over the web it`s a little dumb.
I have done it myself though in spite of realizing this. Although I try not to get too upset, that easy.
Just get a fresh start on chest, on Monday bud!

Great post and I'm glad you're on the board. I've been telling everyone about this board (well, not everyone, just individuals that would use GREAT information and not be a disturbance to weights on the web). I love this site. I've tried other web boards and never stick with them. Don't like them. Too much fancy pantsing, propoganda, drama, steroid talk, etc... This one is tried and true information and tricks of the trade that actually work! Thanks alot and thanks for joinging Mike. Hope to here from you soon.
