I enjoyed Tim’s story so here is a short version (my perception )since I’m not the moderator. . . . Born in Queens, NYC in 1961 - I’m the first of four boys and found that athletics came easily to me. Of course, when something comes easy there is a tendency not to work hard. The family moved to Colorado in 1971 (yeeha!). I didn’t really enjoy lifting weights since the only weight room within 10 miles was at the high school. Growing into late teens and beyond my twenties I avoided body building. The only devotees I knew seemed to strut around with huge bellies. {fast forward…} {…Western Colorado mid-90’s} My wife and I picked up BB in our mid to late 30’s. A friend of hers at work turned us onto the health aspects and didn’t push hardcore. We moved to Denver in ’97 and dropped BB….. After packing on 30 pounds over 20 yrs of marriage (Waist @ 47” - Yikes!) I decided enough was enough. Discovered Body For Life from a peer at work and started the program in September 2003. By December 2003 I had dropped 35lbs, 8 inches off my waist and developed a severe need to know more about body building, healthy eating and developing a physically symmetrical physique. I received advice from Tim on another forum and decided to follow Tim to his forum since he so readily helps others. ;D

Yeah, nothing like watching a perfectly good rant fly over someone's head! My wife is focused on "toning." Of course she doesn't have the patience to learn about BB techniques, glycemic index, etc. She sees results and is happy. . . me too! ;D

Welcome, Tony. Lived in Queens 9 years of my life. Still not far from there, on Long Island.
Great that you're here and keep posting.
