Just a brief note to say "HELLO" and introduce myself. Brand new to the board. My name is Frank (mr beefy on the boards), and I live just outside Cleveland Ohio. Studied the martial arts for over 30 years, 14 years in the US Army, Ordained Catholic Deacon, work as a Paralegal for the office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals. Met Tim at the NABBA contest in PA this past weekend who told me about the board. I'm 49 years old, and been lifting about 3 years. Competing for the last two. I've either been very lucky or have some type of potential because I have placed in the top 5 in the 4 contests I've done. I'm married 29 years to my soulmate, have two grown children, and 3 grandchildren. Got into the iron game to support my wife who had gastric bypass surgery 3 years ago, and is doing (and looking) fantastic. I felt the best way to support her is to change our lifestyle, and be by her side in the gym, which we are always! More to follow! Next game plan is taking 2007 off from competition to build more mass and get as freaky as possible, and come back with a vengeance in 2008! Any help in building mass will be appreciated! THANKS!

WOW! Thanks for all the great welcomes! I AM IMPRESSED! Like I said in my intro, I'm fairly new to this iron game, so I'm always open for advice and comments, so please...feel free! AND...the same goes here..if there is anything I can do to help someone out, all ya gotta do is ask, and it will be my pleasure! I've worked with a few trainers, and have gleaned some great ideas from them, but I found that I know my body best. My weakness is tweaking my diet, especially when it comes time to cut for a contest. BUT..for the next 12 months or so, it's called building LEAN mass for me! My goal:Step back on stage in 2008, over 50, as a lightheavyweight (rememebr I'm only 5'2"), and be the freakiest little monster they've ever seen! SO..to Karrie, Smiley, GerryT, Intensity, and everyone else out there who bid me welcome...than you again...this is going to be awesome!

Tim! I understand about the sleep. I've been running on empty all week. Just trying to recover a little before I hit the Mass Building on October 1st. Any suggestions on resources anyone? I know...eat clean, lift heavy!

C~ Thanks for the Welcome! So far, you guys are GREAT! Do''t let by bio seem too innocent! I'm a little vain like most bodybuilders! WE went to Coyote Ugly in Vegas, and the gir lon the bar stopped the music and had everyone stop and look at me and said, "Don't his guy have amazing legs!" Everybody wanted to take pic's with me after that! It was cool! Then, walking back into the Alladin, a girl at the bar stopped me, looked me up and down, and said, "MAN, you got a great body!, Want to come upstairs with me?" THAT's what gets you through your workouts! Be happy to share my thoughts with you. I started a journal thread which I'll try to keep updated too! Look forward to hearing more from you, C
