Watermelon:
Watermelon is fun to eat and good for you. A recent USDA study shows that watermelon offers the same health benefits as cooked tomatoes when it comes to the antioxidant lycopene. Lycopene is what makes watermelons and tomatoes red, and health studies have associated lycopene with the reduction in risk of certain diseases, including some cancers. Tomatoes have to be heated for lycopene to be released, but antioxidants just flow from watermelons.
Other benefits associated with watermelons: It's low in sodium, fat-free, low in calories. It is also a good source of Vitamins A, C, B6, and offers potassium.
So eat up...a cold slice of a hot day.

Tim what is the overall effect of fruit in a BB diet, does the fructose sugar spike the insulin like refined sugar? or can you really eat as much of it as veggies ??

I personally eat no fruit when I`m trying to get lean. The sugar content is too high and it will definately spike your insulin levels. Most bodybuilder`s do this although others found that they can still eat fruit in moderation during a dieting phase. Most as a rule don`t eat it however. If you are not trying to get super lean as you would have to be for a contest ,I would eat maybe three peices a day ,most likely bananas, apples,or an orange.I would also try to eat them early or post-workout.Obviously fruit should be eaten for the healthy benefits they provide as a general rule.
