When you find foods to eat that are higher in fiber, the result may be pounds lost. Research has revealed that a diet that is high in fiber may boost weight loss efforts. In a study, people who consumed a low-fat diet with 26 grams of fiber per 1,000 calories lost more weight than the people who consumed a fattier diet with only 7 grams of fiber per 1,000 calories. And each group was allowed to eat as much as they wanted.

I eat Kashi GoLean for breakfast, which has something like 8 grams of insolube fiber per serving, and then I take two teaspoons of soluble fiber supplement with each meal. It's fantastic stuff!
They did a study which showed that taking fiber with a anti-cholestoral medication doubled the medication's effects. It's good for lots of stuff besides weight loss.

Fiber also soaks up any poisons in the body and helps you excrete them.Thats funny I just ate a bowl of Kashi golean crunch. Its a great cereal with a ton of fiber.

Iused to eat crunch golean but then I switched to plain. The plain has more fiber in it, but crunch tastes so much better...
