Does it really matter what kind of carbs i eat as long as i dont go over the limit for the day of my carb cycling plan... I dont eat white rice or white bread or pasta, but i like whole wheat or whole grain english muffins or whole wheat bagels. or should i just stick to sweet potatoes or yams.

In fact yes it does a difference... if it's not on your shape it could be on your energy level or on your protein absorbtion! And not only because there is simple or complex carbs... but also because some carbs sources are not as clean as other when it comes to fat. For example, i would question the amount of fat in your english muffins versus yams or brown rice... (And i'm not counting the fact that sugar could be added even in Whole grain english muffin...) Mo

I love bagels and english muffins............but during a pre-contest diet,I would advise eating no bread products at all.
What`s better from a nutritional standpoint,processed bagels and muffins or natural yams,oatmeal,sweet potatoes,potatoes,or brown rice?

yes white rice is fine..even not in PWO...
White rice is just a good choice of carb to use if you don't have any dextrose or maltodextrin.
Actually..you can even have oatmeal, rice cake, brown rice, bread...in PWO....
as long as you get good protein and carbs.
