Max, Soreness is a part of this sport---- there have been times when I could BARELY walk up a flight of stairs for several days following a particularly brutal leg session. That said, I'm not suggesting you ingnore significant localized pain that lasts more than 3 days,as that could be indicative of a problem, but I do think alot of your concerns expressed in several posts related to how you "feel' in certain areas during or after a workout are just reflective of the body sensations that are specific to what we do. Those muscles are gonna let you know they have "had their ass kicked" -- that's part of the process. The longer you stay in this game, the more you will gain an understanding of what that normal soreness, as opposed to a significant injury type of pain, is.

The trapezius form the major rearward muscle structure of the neck, running down from the rear and sides into the upper back and shoulders, so in a word, YES.
