I seem to be back on the neck impingement cycle again-it happened when I injured my SCJ last year but now its happened again and its driving me crazy....
Theres alot of clicking and grinding and I get pins and needles down my right trap....shoulder training has again ground to a halt!!
What sort of therapist should I see for this-physio,osteo or chiropractor?? I don't want to get sucked into a really long course of treatment as I can't afford it right now!

I'm an osteopath (although I work in an Emergency Room) so I'm probably a little biased.
Something I've found that has really helped with my neck and back is an Inversion Table. It's a kind of a big table with an arm you put over your feet, kind of like a situp board, but it locks them in real tight. Then with your body's balance it basically tilts you until you are almost upside down (you can control how far you want to go). My wife got us one last Christmas and I think it has helped tremendously. It decompresses mostly the low and mid back, but if you focus on your neck I can feel it there, too. Many of the pains I used to have are gone or much better from using it.

I do hang from ankle boots as much as I can. It really relieves stress on my back and neck. I would highly recommend it.
