Recently (past 4-6 weeks) I have been doing cardio about 3-4 times a week for 30 minute sessions with an incline setting of 9 or so. Since doing that I have experianced leg pain, particuliarly when I flex my legs to flare my quads. The pain is right above each knee.
Not sure why this has happended. It has hurt my poundages when squating or during leg workouts, but squating down and coming up it hurts (with or with out weight).
Could it be the incline of the treadmill thats causing this muscle or ligament pain?

how steep an incline are you on and what kind of shoes are you wearing? It could be something like HOW you are walking and your knees are not tracking correctly in their 'groove'

It sounds as if the steep incline could be the culprit here, but as Becky mentioned, it could have to do with the kind of shoe's you are using or the way you are bringing your feet down on the treadmill. The fastest way to find out would probably be to drop the incline some and see what happens. If you are worried about loosing some of the intensity, just add another five minutes, that should balance things out. Vin.
