Damn Joel, you look absoulutely incredible!!! #bowdown3ht# My advice would be to just continue whatever it is you are doing....it`s definately working!! LOL One suggestion, drink more water than you have ever drank in your life and drop sodium 3 days out of the show relying mostly on chicken for your protein source. You are gonna` kick mucho ass my friend.....finish strong!

Thanks guys! Yesterday was carb day and I may have over done it a little, I think I'm a little bloated. I'm back on low carbs and I drank a lot of water today. I'm just trying to time this thing out right this year, I came in flat last year. Not going to happen again!

Joel, HOLY COW!!!! hehe, you simply look... like... like a contest ready bodybuilder should be looking! AWESOME!
Suggestion? As Tim said, just drink as much as you can... and for the rest, you know my point of view: Do not try anything too drastic with Sodium and carbs... if you usually like what you see a couple of days out, just stick with it for contest day! But that being said, you are a top bodybuilder and what you do is working very well, so as other said, dont try to fix it

Thanks Mo! Your suggestion is pretty much what I'm planning on this year. I'm just making adjustments as needed. It helps to have your guys input though.

you're looking great Joel-much improved on last year! I do have one posing tip-on your rear shots, you aren't flexing/tightening your hams as much as you could,do that and you'll ace the comp

I've finally figured out how to bring them out more on my side shots. I agree I need to bring them out more on my back shots, its been a major weakness over the years and I feel had a lot to do with my placing last year at this show. It sounds weird but if I flex them too much they flatten out. If I concentrate on flexing my glutes more it seems to bring them out more on my side shots. I'm going to practice that on my back shots and take some pics.

Had a lot of curve balls thrown at me lately, so i'm just trying to catch them all. The workouts have really helped aleave a lot of the stress lately and my body is paying for it with pain. Other than that i'm just trudging along. Thanks for asking...

Nice photos, Joel and great to look back on in the years to come. You're tightening up nicely and the striations through the quads are showing well. Can only agree with what's been said, keep everything simple and follow the plan you've been implementing throughout. This week try to aim for about 10-12 litres of water per day (roughly double what you'd consume on a normal day), then you have a number of options, but I'd stick with what works (or has worked) for you in the past.

Thanks Deang, I feel really confident this year. My legs are always the last thing to come in definition wise, I have to stop training them for several days.
