Here is another one of my dvd reviews
Heiko Kallabach the Berlin Wall
First of all if your German you'll love this dvd LOL!
Heiko's new dvd is very informative, but his english voice over is done by some one else and is at times strange to listen to.
Heiko takes you through his 5 day training routine describing everything he does. While extremely informative, its also slow moving. His routine is interesting but because its so full of detail and explanation it comes across as more of a "how to dvd" instead of a hardcore dvd.
He trains chest on day one and its pretty hardcore. Incline's with 315, supersetted with pec decs. Heavy heavy dumbell presses with 180lbers.
Second day is back. Deadlifts (partials) and lots of pulldowns, followed by some posing.
thirday is shoulders. Pretty intense, he performs behind the neck presses in a vary slow motion. In fact all of his lifts are done slow and deliberately.
Leg day is pretty awesome. Squats going up to 765lbs for 3-4. Heavy leg presses and vertical leg press, showing awesome muscualarity!
Hams on the 5th and final day. Grueling deadlifts and curls.
All in all the training is ok to watch. But like I said before a little slow moving for my taste.
The best part of the dvd is the extra's
We see his posing routine from the 2004 Hungary show,
his routine from FIBO
and an entire section of him at FIBO posing and mingling with fans.
This is neat because we get an appreciation for just how big Heiko is compared to us mortals.
Say what you will about Heiko's aesthetics, but the man is impressive. Built like a german tank for sure.
He is very compact and thick!!!
Something also might be going on with his arms but still he is impressive. Besides whatever he's done to his arms aren't nearly as noticable as what Nasser did to do his delts.
All in all a decent dvd.
I would give it 3 OUT 5.
