This may be really old school. Found this link from Clarence Bass's website. Kono was a top Oly lifter and a three time Mr. Universe. I bet he would have done well in powerlifting too. Seems like Kono, like John Grimek, was in a class by himself. I like reading about the days of old when lifters excelled on the lifting platform and in physique contest. www.cbass.com/Kono.htm

Tommy Kono is a living legend. Imagine being the number one Olympic lifter and also competing at an elite level in bodybuilding.

I also bought myself some Kono knee bands but yet use them. Thr recommendations of the effectiveness of them is very overwhelming. Tommy must of had that 'Jim Thorpe' multi-purpose athletisim going on in his day. Great to see someone offer their experience in offering superior training aids as he does.
