The Library of Congress has several reels of very old footage of some of the earliest bodybuilders. Incredible to think that these physiques were created over 100 years ago. Some of the shots, particularly the Eugene Sandow back shots show fantastic development.
The footage might look familiar to anyone who has seen "Pumping Iron" - it's the footage used in the intro sequence.
