Hi Everyone,
hope all is well...its been awhile...alot has happened...i've given birth to a beautiful baby girl...she is 3 months already....i've been breastfeeding my baby girl...i got the ok from my doc to start working out...i wanted to know if anyone knows if its ok to drink protein shakes while breastfeeding...i want to shed some of the baby weight i gained with a healthy diet...since i'm going back to work full time and i will have lack of sleep at times cooking my meals have been a challenge...so i thought maybe having 2 shakes a day along w/my meals would help...any thoughts?

I usually recommend ones without aspartame to my breastfeeding clients simply because you don't know what gets through to baby. I know Optimum Nutrition has a Natural formula which is very popular, you might like to try that Congrats on the birth of your daughter!

I also use the Optimum Nutrition brand and I like it because it doesn't leave a chalky taste in your mouth and it mixes really well with water. I like the double chocolate flavour and the banana creme isn't too bad either. Congrats on your baby girl
