Maybe someone can help me out... The past few days i have been taking care of my puppy, so it involves alot of crouching and picking up piss and sh*t. When i go to stand up, my knees creak? Im not sure if thats the word. Sounds like a ripping sound. Ripping may even be exaggerating, but maybe you guys can help me out. also, i was playing softball yesterday, and i was catcher. in the squat position my knees felt REALLLL tight. at first i thought it was my pants but i loosened them up and my knees STILL were tight. like right above the knee cap, inside the leg. very unvomfortable any ideas???

Fluid most likely- I have a bad left knee (minor tear about 25 years ago when surgery meant a year on cruches... PASS). Your patella bursa sac may be inflamed... no pain? (Pain could be a sign of minor or major cartilege tears) Never had an issue with bursitis? The most common way to injure a bursa sac is by repeated trauma to the bursa... so squats, jumping, jogging...
It does sound like fliud though. That "creaking" is fluid/bursa squeezing about. Been working the knees particularly hard? Running more? All that tabata, etc?

I'd guess it may just be a stressed bursa.

So there is pain- yes, I'd be resting. Could just be a strain... but if it gets stiffer, fluid builds (in other words gets worse) I'd have it looked at. My left knee is pretty beat up- I don't need surgery but lifting when it is sore is certain to cause long-term trouble.

No pain, per-se. Just yesterday during softball when i was catching it was very tight. Never had that before. Sitting here right now, and walking around i have no pain or discomfort.

Ha!.....No that would have been 50 years ago! When a few more parts start to fail....then you get close to TIMitis! I think bad knees are a good day for Tim...right TIM? ;D
