I heard this on the radio today. This nutritionist who is talking to the public said you should always combine your carbs/protein..and never eat carbs alone..or protein alone...
Reason being you'll have better stabilized blood sugar.
But is that the only reason?
I mean we as bodybuilders eat protein alone all the time. So what she said about eating protein alone doesn't make sense.
As far eating carbs alone, that also doesn't add up...if the person is eating a complex carb in a low-medium amount...I don't believe a person will have "unstable" insulin release or blood sugar.
