Once again, the talented duo of NGA President Andy Bostinto and his wife, Fran brought a classy show to Southern Florida where more than 50 outstanding men and women natural athletes vied for top honors in the NGA’s season-ending national contest held at the Coral Springs Charter School in Coral Springs.
Rico Browning of Maple Heights, OH took top honors for the second time in the Men’s Pro Universe Championship and Megan May of Atlanta, GA was the winner in the Pro Universe Figure Championship. It was Megan’s first Pro show after winning the NGA NOPI Overall Figure title in Atlanta last September.

Twelve beautiful Figure ladies graced the stage in three age classes. Jimmese Clark of Atlanta, FL won the 25+ Class, Sherry Andre of Hollywood, FL the 35+ Class and Nadine Lopez of Ft. Lauderdale the 45+ Class. In a tight competition, the Florida Figure Overall trophy was won by Jimmese Clark who was also awarded her NGA Figure Pro Card.

Women's bodybuilding had one contestant, Toni Johnson from North Lauderdale, FL, who was named the Champion and two Novices shared the stage with Tyler Forbes of Boca Raton, FL edging Ryan Medeiros of Ft. Lauderdale for the Novice title. The Junior Mens Class was won by Jared Hazel of Boynton Beach, FL, who was unopposed.
The Open competition was fierce with great competition in all four weight classes. Carlos Cortez of Hollywood, FL took the Open Lightweight class, Scott Bittner of West Palm Beach, FL the Middleweight class, Jeff Marlett of Doral, FL the Light Heavyweight class and Masters Overall winner, Anthony Stinchcomb of Decatur, GA the Heavyweight Class. After a long live judging and pose down, Jeff Marlett won the Open Overall and a NGA Pro Card.

The nearly packed house at the night show was enthusiastic and the audience made a lot of noise as each class hit the stage. Many competitors afterwards said they enjoyed competing here and would come back next year.
At the start of the show, NGA President, Andy Bostinto, told the crowd that since 1979 the NGA has stood for integrity, honesty, consistency, professionalism and as an inspiration to athletes who are "naturally" competitive.
