But I thought I would reintroduce myself. My name is Jay. I lost quite a few pounds last year, and was working very hard in the gym. Rubicon, gave me some sound advice which I followed that payed off.
Update: When I got back from my vacation last August I couldn't push myself to work as hard on dieting & working out. Consequently, I have been binge eating and have put on a mass amount of weight. Tomorrow, I will be diving head first back into the world of weight loss/better health. I definitely could use some support in my camp.

Welcome back, J. You know this but you have to get control. I don't know what drives your binges but get that figured out. It all starts with you wanting your goals and having the self control to get there. Get in the gym and take stock, take control. Oh, and stay away from Skyline!

Thanks Fit, I love Skyline, but I think what gets me eating to much is I'm always going to be starting a diet. Consequently, I over eat at that moment.

Already getting into the midset that your going to change your lifestyle, not just your eating habit is good. I agree with fit get into the gym. This will get you into a different pattern then things will fall into place if you stay dedicated. Get rid of all the junk food in your house. Don't eat fast food or dine out without carefully reading the menue. Bring nutritious snacks with you when you do get hungry between meals. Set a realistic goal for your first few weeks of training. If you surpass the goal then this will motivate you even more to create a proper lifestyle pattern for fitness. Welcome back to the this board the people here are an encyclopedia of knowledge and are cool too ! Good luck with your training!

Jay!
Welcome back my new friend! Nothing is more thrilling than a "come-back"! I'm there myself!
Now...you got the right idea...and you have some GREAT people here to help you out...but YOU have to reach down, grab your "caholles" (sp?)...and kick up the motivation. We will be here to help and support you....but to quote an old trainer friend of mine (Mike Davies), "I can teach you to lift a weight, but I can't teach you how to put down a fork".
Easy math= Burn more cals than you eat. Eat clean. Kick up the cardio. Numerous small clean meals (5-6).....is the way to go.
Fire away any time with questions.........
Hey...you avatar says "Cincy", so I'll assume Cincinnati Ohio? If you're going to the Arnold Classic in Columbus, my wife and I will be there for the duration.
Would be great to meet any members from WOTW!!!
