I've been using them for awhile now....for my squat days and deadlift days. The bottom of the shoe is flat...and thin... It's puma...but it isn't "designed" for weightlifting. I think it is actually for motorsport use. Mine is in blue..and sort of looks like this... www.amazon.com/dp/B001CHCPMG/ref=nosim/?tag=nextag-shoes01-delta-20&creative=380333&creativeASIN=B001CHCPMG&linkCode=asnI used to wear nike Cross training shoes. Compared to this flat shoe (designed to feel pedals when racing cars), I feel so much more balanced when squating and deadlifting. However, this shoe is no good for calf raise exercises.

Max, I use a Safe-T Shoe desigend for squatting only. It helped my balance and was well worth the $ 225.00 I use an old style wrestling shoe for deads and benching. Nike Shox for cardio. Puma Dance Shoe for Zumba.
