Chris What are the ingredients that could damage the liver? "The FDA has not determined what specific ingredients are responsible for the problems, because the products contain a variety of overlapping ingredients and herbal extracts."

Although I don't buy into the hail storm the media is casting at Muscle Tech for this case of liver related problems, I will say that proprietary blends are the most prevalent remaining shadow from the yester-era of snake oil salesmen and elixirs. Buying a bottle of anything that glides beneath the FDA radar, third party certification, and perpetually fails to disclose their ingredient amounts is bad business from an informed consumers point of view.
But playing devil's advocate here... especially in the settled aftermath of this debocal, Muscle Tech is the largest manufacturer and distributor of supplements in the world. With the mere realization that they have sold millions of bottles of Hydroxycut ALONE (excluding all other supplements they make) it shouldn't be assumed they are an irresponsible company for a solitary surfacing incident throughout the innumerable millions of customers that have taken and surely even abused their products for years upon years.
Muscle Tech reigns over the market place for a reason, and I believe although they have their faults as a company, and their advertising methods and extrapolation of data in order to serve their best interest and mislead potential customers is not something to laud, they are still a highly regarded and supreme institution in the marketplace that has had less than a whisper of negative publicty during their time in business.

I guess when too much money is involved in the Tobacco industry , the public suffers while a lot of suits filling their pockets with dollars. Sad but true.
