Hello everyone,
I have been gone for a very long time. It has been a rough road that I have traveled and I have missed this board.
Tim, Gerry T, Mike all of you I have missed tremendously. I have been away from competition since 2007. I left 2007 with the intention of moving on to Masters in 2008. I had a major life change and career change which took me away from my passion. I have still been unable to come back. I am currently unemployed, like many, and searching frantically! The biggest disappointment was when I left in 2007, I won my age class at the Colorado State placed 3rd in the open light heavyweight class. The year before, I had won the novice light heavyweight, my age class and placed 5th in the open light heavyweight. Many expected me to win the show in 2008 and do very well at the masters that year. I am heart broke that I could not continue. I had figured out what worked for me. Diet, training and the mental aspect. It was just fine tuning and off to the races. I am very sad and hoping that I can come here for some words of encouragement and motivation. This board was great when I was a contributing member in 2006-2007. Many members assisted me with training, diet and posing techniques and ideas that made the difference in my successful run for 2 years.
I have missed coming here and hope to become a more frequent visitor and contributing member again.
Take care everyone, I have missed you!
Massiv

So good to see you back here, buddy. Really missed you and was wondering what happened.
Employment situation is terrible now, but hope that something turns up for you soon. Take care and hopefully we can talk again at some point.

GREAT to have you back here! Life changing events seem to have their way with us. Muhamad Ali = " It's NOT getting knocked down that counts, but how many times you can get back up!" Keep checking in on us, and let us know how you're doing! ...and get back in a gym! Frank

Thanks for the replies. It has been along road just to get back to this point. I can not believe that I have let myself get into the shape I am in in 2.5 years. Such a short time ago, I was in really great shape and very confident and employed. Tells you how fast your life can change. Trying to get things in order to at least get back working out. I got so spoiled last contest run. I was sponsored by several local companies, so I did not have to pay for any supplements or diet items. Most of you will understand just that will make the difference between making it and failing. It was amazing. I would go down and stock up on supplements every month and I would grocery shop once a week. My fitness center was my main sponsor and covered all membership fees and covered the diet expenses. Makes me very sad that I walked away from it. sorry to sound like such a sissy, but it has been so frustrating and this is my release valve. This board was always very good and motivating. I spoke to several members via phone and emails on a weekly basis. Some even came to my last show. Well, all l can say is that I am back and that is the first step.

I can relate my friend...
A few years ago, I was placing in the top 5 in all of my shows, including the National Level....then I started powerlifitng, set some records, but put on a LOT of weight and incurred a LOT of injuries requiring surgery, etc.
Now I'M on my way back to the bodybuilding stage too!
Welcome back ! Let's get it done!

Sounds good my friend. It seems like it is a day to day thing right now, but as long as we keep moving forward. Whatever it takes, right?
