Okay here is my question out of curiousity.
1) Do you count the carbs in egg whites? (there are .34g of carbs/egg white or 3 egg whites=1 carb) I count them in my totals just curious if its a waist of time to count them.
2)If you eat natural peanut butter do you count only the fat or do you also count the carbs? ( i count both in my totals)
I'm thinking the whites i dont have to count them but the natty pb i do. So if there is some input for me please do...

Hoopie,
I believe you should count everything. The only thing I don't count into my carb intake is fiber since it is unusable by the body. I even count the carbs in sugar free gum.

Hoopie, I believe you should count everything. The only thing I don't count into my carb intake is fiber since it is unusable by the body. I even count the carbs in sugar free gum. So if it list 6g of carbs and 3 fiber you only count the 3g carbs left?

Exactly. I never include fiber in my daily carb intake.

Exactly. I never include fiber in my daily carb intake. I have been counting them. Just like today i had a total of 48g carbs and 30grams fiber. So in all reality i had 18grams of carbs that i should calculate towards my daily totals not 48..

I never bother counting those types of carbs myself....I only count carbs that have an effect on spiking insulin levels,as I feel they are the only ones that matter. Just my opinion which certainly doesn`t mean a hell of a lot!!

Steve, i do not count carbs in eggs or vegetables… as i dont count proteins in oatmeal or vegetables! But dont get me wrong, i believe in counting and weighting everything with precision (Since i adjust my nutriments and macro-nutriments intake every 5 or 7 day!)! It's just that when it comes to carbs traces or non complete proteins… i prefer not to include them in the equation
PS: I also substract fibers from my total carbs intake!
