Dropped a 45 pound DB on my little toe this morning. That puts a damper on things real quick. Finished out my morning schedule with much limping around. I am prertty sure that I broke it. Not good. TODAY was LEG DAY too!!!! That realy makes me mad!!!!!

That's it; have to improvise and work around it.
My grandma was fond of saying "If you're handed a lemon, try to make lemonade out of it" (with splenda of course) ;D

Ok, my 2 cents as a medical professional.....DO NOT WORK LEGS!!!!! It is probably broken, so I would recommend seeing an orthopedic doc or even going to the ER, NOT a podiatrist, get an x-ray and confirm the DX and get the proper treatment. Or else you could mess yourself in the long run..it does not heal right and you cannot leg press, hack squat etc....again my 2 cents!!!

Seriously Rub- you know it's not life threatening but you really need to get it looked at . It's amazing actually how much we depend on our toes for balance, walking, etc.. Spend the $$ and do it.

Point well taken, Karrie. Sacrificing the long term for the short term might be foolish. Take care of yourself!
Besides, you don't want to be limping up the aisle with Jen after the wedding!!

Randy, that truly sucks bigtime, but at least you can still train, and it wasn`t during your contest prep. See how I put a positive spin on things..........if it was my toe,I would never be this positive!! LOL Hang in bro,and train the best you can..........you may be able to do leg exts. super-setted with leg curls, and not lose any size at all. I have trained with my arm in a cast before...not much fun,but this is bodybuilding...............all about pain. Good luck buddy!!

If it's your little toe, don't worry about it. There is no "fixing" it. Tape it to the toe next to it (buddy tape) and it will act like a splint. I see about one broken little toe a week in the ER. We get an Xray, say "Yep, it's broken," buddy tape it and send them on their way. No offense Karrie, but an Orthopod won't do a thing for a broken 5th toe. If your pain is closer than the toe (essentially meaning the foot) that's a different story. As far as lifting, it it hurts don't do it. That's not the kind of pain you want to push through.

I hope that it's nothing major and it heals fine dude. I had to put a sign up at the gym "no training with sandals" in the summer. I wouldn't even want to think of what could have happened to your foot if you didn't have shoes and socks on..................... Good luck with the recovery, Vin.
