What would be your idea of the ideal shape? Not the most impressive shape or the one that would win every contests, but the shape you would qualify as your personnal favorite, near perfection, ultimate personnal objective! Mine would be the shape of Mike O'hearn the bodybuilder, actor, powerlifter and fitness model! (I'll post Mike's pic later). For women, i would say Margaret Diubaldo, a WNSO Figure Pro Champion! (Also post Margaret picture later) PS: I know it would be a great way to earn Karma, but please, dont say Tim Wescott's So what's yours?

Reg Park's physique. Powerful (first bodybuilder to bench 500lbs), natural (at least looks that way compared to todays standards) and quite artistic, like something carved out of granite. Best looking bodybuilder ever, IMO. Nowadays it's all about drugs and less about old school practices/routines. Reg Park popularized the 5x5 routine which emphasized compound movements and not only build tremendous strength, but aesthetics as well. I may never reach that level of strength and muscularity but it's my ultimate goal. Even if I can come close I will die a happy man.

Can't say Tim Wescott? Boy did you narrow the field on that one.
I've always liked Frank Zane.

There are SOO many.. One that comes to mind is Ronny Rockel (see my avatar). Another who I truly believe is pretty much perfect as far as size, symmetery and overall package is this awesome Spanish pro named Jimmy Atienza. Anyone interested let me know and I can post his pic. He's also a great guy and somone I think would be a good guy to have here on our board.

Bob Paris...not a fan of his lifestyle, but nobody can deny he had one of the most complete and balanced physiques of all time. When you look at him, "perfection" is a word that comes to mind.... today's Pros cause reactions of "freaky" or "huge" or "monster", but I hardly think very many of them cause anyone to think "perfection". Paris always reminded me of a bigger version of Frank Zane. From that era I'd also have to mention Rory Leidermeyer and Lee Labrada, as well. Of today's physiques, I think Dennis Wolfe of Germany has pushed things to a bigger version of Bob Paris, now!
For the woman, I would say Mandy Blank. I am slightly biased here, though, as Mandy is originally from my neck of the woods and I know her personally. There are plenty of others that could be mentioned, as well.
