You and your family are in my prayers Frank. Loss of a family member is never easy but I believe it can bring the best out of people as far as coming together for comfort and peace. Not only your family in real life but also your family here in Weights on The Web. It's hard to see you post on such negative topics such as someone dying because you are one of the most positive and energetic new people on this board. Thoughts and prayers are with you today and always buddy.
your friend,
Jay (Mystic)

Thank You EVERYONE for all your thoughts and prayers.
Actually, YOU have been more support than ANY of my family members. My wife has been so inundated with trying to help everyone else, I may have seen and talked to her for about 2 hours since Friday. I again won't see her most of the day because she is running around helping my sisters, etc.
I guess I'm on my own on this one.
Wake is Sunday night, Burial is Monday.
Haven't missed a beat on my workouts...in case you're curious!
Thank you again my friends, and thank YOU for being here for me.
Peace
Frank

I am sorry to hear about your Father Frank.
I know this is not what you want to hear right now, but it may provide comfort later on in life.
9 years ago my mother died from a brain tumor. At the time, I was not close to her, and I wondered how I would feel later on in life.
The years went by and I realized that the memories of my mother were not complete. Gone were any memories of fighting, or disputes, or anything negative.
What remained were glorious memories. Like the numerous times she rocked me to sleep as a child. Or the time she quit her teaching job to care for me at home, while I was sick. The time she spoke to me during my high school years about our faith and God.
I miss my mother, probably now more then ever before, but the memories are all wonderful.
Those memories continue to give me strength. I am sure the memories of your father will do the same.
God Bless

Just returned from my fathers wake. First of al THANK YOU again to all of you for sharing your memories, thoughts, and prayers.
They have all found their mark!
I was surprised tonight to see so many people I haven't seen for years! Class mates from when I went to the seminary, my 92 year old aunt (my fathers last living sibling), The pastor of my parish, just SO many friends. It was heart warming.
Tomorrow is the burial and luncheon for close family afterwards, then this chapter is closed...at least for now.
Thank You again...my friends.
