I would say that i believe in this "need fast digesting macros and perfect timing" theory, but the main reason for me to drink a shake postworkout is also because it's been 3h or more since my last meal, the longest period without a meal for me during the day! It's also convinient and helps me to easily get enough calories during the day since i'm not a big eater! And to be honest, i just LOVE the taste of my Orange Gatorade powder + chocolate Isolate powder shake

I always took my protein shaker to the gym and drank it on the way home. then ate dinner a couple hours later. I changed this past year and waited until I got home and made a high protein meal instead and have a protein drink b4 bed. I have noticed that my muscles look a lot more dense as my progress photos on another site has proved. personally for me I am going to stick with waiting and eating a hard meal instead of a shake PW. Did you say NEW PIC's? PICS!!!, PICS!!!, PICS!!! #offtopic3cp# Sorry This was taken on 2/3/07 legs shot taken 2/15/07

I believe you have to raise your insulin level with simple sugars ,post workout to more effectively replace the glycogen level in the depleted muscle cells. You also want to get some amino's in!!!A Margarita mixed with Casein protein????Sure would temporarily stop the soreness. As long as you do not consume before you drive home from the gym!!! #smileybsflag6tq#
