Great attitude, Kyle! You're a champ on and off stage.
I worked with someone for a show who I though should have won and finished 2nd in the class. After the show, people were telling him he looked great and was robbed. He said, "How could I have been robbed when I never owned it in the first place? I didn't lose 1st, I won a 2nd place trophy. I'm happy."
I was more proud of him when he was off stage than on!

Came in at 155. 1/2 pound over the lightweight cut off. Got 2nd in the middles. The judges told me they really really debated over who won, me or the other guy. THe other guy ended up winning the over all and his pro card. I asked the judges why afterward and I got this EXACT response, "You were the densist, most proportioned and had the best symmetry on stage, but you needed more oil." Judge 2 "You had the best total package, symmetry, proportion and thickness, but you needed more oil." Judge 3 "I had you 1 then 2, then 1...it was just too close" The pictures tell the truth. I've shared them with some. It was a great day and I really enjoyed myself. Both my grandmas came to the show, but one of my Grandma's broke her hip on the way in and ended up in teh hospital. She and my mom and dad missed the prejudging and my Grandma had surgery this morning in Newark. Last I heard she's doing well. Not the finish I wanted, but I was VERY pleased with how I looked and I had alot of fun. That's what it's about! If you had made the lightweight cut off (1/2 pound) would you have won the lightweight class? If so, it looks like you would have won the overall, too and won your pro card. Why didn't you delay your weigh in and drop the 1/2 pound? It's better to be at the top of a class in weight than at the bottom of a heavier class. Anyway, Congratulations. You looked great.

I would have won the lightweights, but then again, I thought I would have won the middleweights as well...so... I did delay my weigh in another hour and I didn't make it. I dind't want ot flatten out more than I had already flattened out. I could have gone for a nice little walk and taken some dandelion root and probably made it.

Your time will come...and it's close. Props, Man.

Thanks Joel! Well...I haven't seen all the pictures, but the guy that beat me was pegged as 3rd in our class by most people I talked to. He ended up winning the overall. He had AWESOME vascularity and a great most muscular. Besides that, I wasn't real impressed. What I was impressed with was the 23 year old that ended up in 3rd in my class. OMG...that kid has the most impressive quads and hams I've EVER EVER EVER seen on anyone under 25 years old. He was pretty humble about them too. He said, "all genetic baby. can't take credit for em, got em from my mom!" He kept saying he bought them on e-bay, that they were buy 1 get 1 half off...hahaha you meet some really fun people at these smaller shows.
