Hey Randy:
I don't think it's too early at all. Xmas is a great time. I was remembering last Christmas with the big blizzard in Colorado, I had PLENTY of time to participate in this board and get to know everyone better. I hope to get back going on the board again now and NOT need a blizzard to do so - haha.
Merry Xmas to all and to all a good night. ;D

I always harp at people not to associate food with good times, even though it's hard not too, but I will NEVER diet over Thanksgiving and Christmas. I just won't do it. I enjoy being with all those people too much. Bodybuilding is my lifestyle, but my freinds and family are my LIVELIHOOD!! They mean more to me than anything!

Last year Sunny and I were on our diet through Thanksgiving and Christmas. Not only was it hard for us. I felt like the rest of our families were uncomfortable about the foods and how much they were eating. We will not put them in that place ever again. This season it's chow down. Serious diet begins Jan.1 2008

Agreed! Not that I will go crazy, but if I want it I will join in with the family and eat it.

My wife and I were just discussing this the other day. Unfortunatley, the down-sides We used to go over my in-laws and my brothers/sisters house on the holidays. Now, my in-laws have passed away, and my brother/sister are fighting, so they're not talking to each other. My daughter tried starting a new tradition, by having everyone over her house, but now she may be contemplating a seperation/divorce. My wife REALLY enjoys the holidays, and LOVES to be with the family, but with the current "state-of-affairs", happy holidays are not looking happy. I'm trying to talk her into going away (cruise, etc), but no matter what, she won't be away from the grandkids during the holidays, and we can't afford taking everyone with us (can you say "man overboard!). So it looks like we may end up playing "peace-makers" and enduring the stress of it all. Of course, I could set up a cot at the gym....hmmmmmm? Bump Tim....Bah-Humbug!

Mr. Beefy, I can understand the BahHumbug coming from your POV. Understandable! I will assure you that you will and your family will be in my prayers. It saddens me that a fellow Ohio-ian is going through all that around the Holidays.
You and your wife should get away and ENJOY each other! Just enjoy the Holidays by yourself and maybe with your children. Have the best time possible and realize that you have each other and your health! You don't need a LARGE family...just the closest people you care the most about!
