Which federation are you looking to compete in? USApowerlifting, the federation Bernie(Frank's wife) and I compete in, has a website. www.usapowerlifting.com go to the right top pf the page, click on links and scroll down to your state and look for upcoming meets. If you cannot upcoming meets posted, there should be a contact name with an email or phone number, which usually is the head of the federation in that state, whom you can contact. ;D

Hey Rubes, You can check this site out. Scroll down and look to the left, and they list all the Federations. If you look to the right, they show upcoming meets. Decent resource. www.powerliftingwatch.com/Have fun Bro! We're off to Denver tomorrow morning!!!!! Frank

For those "NEW" to powerlifitng terminology, Karrie means that she doesn't use equipment (ie: bench shirt, etc). She does wear clothing when she lifts Now THAT would be an intersting sport!

Perhaps it would get a lot more people into it.....BUTT ( ) Have you seen some of these 400 lb guys squat? Yikes...I wouldn't want to be in the building if they were doing that in the "other" definition of RAW!!!

I hate it when that happens!!!!
As spectators at our first powerlifitng meet, we volunteered to help the scorekeepers, etc., which gave us "front row seats".
As one rather large man bent over to do his deadlift, and we lost sight of exactly where his singlet went, I leaned over to my wife and said, " And that, my Dear, is why I'm a Bodybuilder!" ;D

Randy, you are an animal, I'm sure you would perform very well in both Bodybuilding and Powerlifting... and I'll be in the first row to see it if you compete in Ma or NH... but dont count on me being in the first row if this sport is like some people described in this thread ;D
