Had a guy ask me in the mall once, " hey, how did you get your back so big and thick? (never heard that one before)....then he said, I'm not gay or anything, really......

Unfortunately, this sport attracts people from many different walks of life, including the unusual. Some friends of mine have had many strange offers and sometimes for substantial amounts of money. Boggles the mind!!  But congrats to Eric. Thrilled for you, bud. Well deserved and enjoy it. Just a class act on and off stage. Hope to see several other WOTW members there as well! |

Weird to say the least. One of my friends told me that a fan offered him a $1,000 plus all expenses paid to fly in to spend the weekend with the fan. My friend replied, "Thanks for asking, but I'm married and am not interested". The fan responded that he would offer $2,500 plus if he and his wife would come!!  Sick! |

Thanks a lot guys. I have gotten a lot of people sending me emails to congratulate me. Most of them are really nice but a few are kind of strange such as this one: hello. i'm wanting to buy photos of musc guys pushing (sticking) out the stomach and was wondering if you'd have some taken for me of yourself doing so. have paid others $100 for 10 shots. some would use digital camera, reg film camera, disposable camera. its just something i care to view personally. sincerely... mark LOLLLLLLLLL! My wife and I couldn't stop laughing at this one. Thanks again guys. Any picture of me shows me sticking my gut out anymore. LOL. Congrats Eric!!! |

Are these people serious? Hell, who needs a sponsor. If I took all these guys up on their offers, I could pay for everything next year.

In a weird way it is sort of complimentary and a tribute to you, but definitely compliments and tributes you can do without!
Agree with the second job comment. Knew someone here who saved until he could afford to compete and I was proud of him for doing it on his own.
