Max, I would follow Tim's advice if I were you. You don't have to try for maximum definition yet but I wouldn't worry about gaining alot of extra weight. You look like you've done a good job of gaining size. Remember its quality not quantity that wins contests! Good job! #k0104ne#

thank you for you kind words.
Tim suggested me to keep my physique...weight wise where i am at right now . But Because i've set up a lower calorie diet...i don't know if i'm going to be losing weight a bit or not...depending on how it goes.
I'll be weighing myself on the coming friday... as that would be 1 week mark on my new diet.
I'm just saying...if i am losing weight on this diet....i need to increase my calories.
But i am confused as to what calories to increase...as each meal is already pretty high in macronutrients... but balanced. most in 50g protein/50g carb type of deal. This would mean a 40/40/20 diet .....
I would just like to know how you guys would go about it? do you, when you increase your calories, increase it to the point where it is a 30protein/50carb/20fat diet....and then from there gradually increase the protein until it is back to a 40/40/20 diet?
Or do you keep a steady 40/40/20 diet...but increase calories in everything? like 200 calories increase in the diet and stick to 40/40/20 ratio?
See when i began my bulk i never learned anything about the ratio or eating on a macronutrient based diet. Tim just told me to eat and thats what i did. This is new to me..and i'm willing to try it.
thanks if you can help me with this.

hoss..i'm almost sure i won't gain weight on this..and if i'm lucky will maintain weight or lose bodyfat on that diet ;D what efa do you suggest..i was thinking something like walnuts and chicken ..... how many calories do you suggest for pwo... so far i just put what ever in my pwo...i just have 2scoops when and 7tbsp dextrose that comes up about 67g carbs and 47g protein. See on non workout days i usually keep my diet the same and take out the pwo shake..so its just about 500cals off . Max, it's all going to depend on what YOU WANT. Do you want to maintain? Do you want to cut? Is it a contest diet? Any way you slice it you're going to have to adjust your total calories and macros. Okay, if you think that's not enough, adjust the carbs, however, if you are not seeing a change in weight, up or down depending on your goal, you will have to make an adjustment in your macros and total caloric intake. If you're uncomfortable with the suggestion I had above try multiplyin gyour body weight by 20. That is the number of calories you want to consume daily. Take in 40% from protein, 40% from carbs, 20% from fat. Try that. The EFA's you should be getting in a gaining phase/maintenance phase should come from Walnuts, Salmon, Almonds, Nat Peanut Butter. In a cutting phase take them in almonds and Flaxseed Oil - slowling weening off the almonds as you get closer to your desired conditioning.

thanks hoss.
just curious...where did you get the equation BW x 20 = total calorie intake?
i remember reading that somewhere....where depending on your metabolism...the BW x the number .....would be different.

Good job Max, impressive transformation!
With what i see, i think that you already eat enough for now… the thing is that you'll have to be patient if you want to, as Joel said, put on QUALITY size. You have been on a bulk diet for a while now so i think that your body would benefit from a SMALL maintenance (or cut) diet. After it, you would start to gain muscle mass again with approx this same diet!
Good luck!

i have been bulking for almost 3yrs..if not it is 3yrs.
However..i still have some areas i want to improve..and i still have time. I'll decide what to do...and change my diet as acording to how i look ..or how i want to look.
i'll keep updated on this thread if anything changes.
